As leader of the business acquisition team in Florida, Bruce has more than 30 years of industry experience and is responsible for estimating and preconstruction. His previous contributions as head of Florida’s estimating department, in addition to providing oversight for both the estimating and preconstruction teams, have been an invaluable asset.

Business Development Director, Martin Welton, is a Charlotte native with a natural connection to the heart and soul of the Queen City. Martin holds over two decades of real estate experience and is a seasoned business developer with success in connecting prospective and current clients with solutions and results. Martin is responsible for constructing effective relationships with existing and potential owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers. Martin attended Charlotte Country Day School and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

John’s portfolio encompasses a variety of markets, from healthcare to education, hospitality to commercial. John holds a degree in Industrial Construction Technology from Appalachian State University.

Jeff Sandeen serves as Balfour Beatty’s president in the Carolinas overseeing operations in North- and South Carolina. Jeff uses his extensive experience in the Carolinas to drive the company’s strategic growth efforts, deliver expert services locally and expand client partnerships across different regions.

Jeff has been with the company for 10 years providing strategic oversight in the Carolinas and leading teams through a vast portfolio of large projects throughout the area. Jeff has overseen notable projects including Forsyth County’s modernized courthouse and University of North Carolina-Wilmington’s Student Village in North Carolina, The Jasper and Emanuel Nine Memorial in Charleston and the delivery of Raleigh-Durham Airport’s Runway 5L/23R Replacement construction program.

Hunt has spent his entire career serving as a Relentless Ally for Balfour Beatty and our clients. His ability to cultivate and connect relationships across the marketplace has been the cornerstone for the success he has led our teams to. Hunt holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University.

Bill Lorenzo leads our project solutions team, which includes preconstruction, design integration, marketing and virtual design and construction. With two decades of experience, Bill has worked across all markets and project delivery types to be recognized as an expert in developing preconstruction approaches for complex projects.

With nearly four decades of experience building in Georgia, Russ has successfully served the Georgia market as a trusted leader and expert builder. Russ is responsible for the oversight and leadership of our public and private clients in the residential, hospitality, office, K-12, higher education and local government market sectors. He is well-known for his collaborative approach, solutions mindset and technical expertise along with being a mentor to the next generation of builders in the business.

Roger joined Balfour Beatty in 2012, bringing his background as a superintendent and his passion for strong communication, detailed planning, quality control and safety. As vice president of operations, Roger will provide executive leadership over Balfour Beatty's commercial sector in Atlanta, which includes our Special Projects Group. Roger plays a strong role in employee development ranging from college recruitment, our robust intern program and employee training.

Roger joined Balfour Beatty in 2014, bringing more than two decades of experience to the team. Now as vice president of business development for the Georgia operations, he provides trust and credibility in understanding owners’ challenges as well as those of the AEC community. Roger’s expertise spans the private market sector and he holds a B.S. in construction management from Georgia Southern University.

As Georgia’s Senior Vice President and business unit leader, Mike collaborates with personnel to strengthen client relationships, capture new opportunities, and develop winning strategies for expanding clients. His range of experience in the corporate office, education, government, hospitality, multifamily residential, and retail markets is integral to achieving Balfour Beatty’s growth goals.

In his role as vice president of operations, George provides executive leadership support to our project teams in Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC while leading our multifamily and military housing market sectors. A proven leader with more than 21 years of experience with Balfour Beatty, George is known for his ability to drive operational excellence and consistently deliver on our promises for repeat clients. He takes great pride in mentoring and developing the next generation of builders.

In his role, Chris Diaz has overseen safety for many projects in theming, medical, residential, commercial, corrections, hospitality, education, heavy industrial, fuel distribution and co-generation power plants. He is a member of the Common Ground Alliance and leading an industry-wide safety orientation and certificate program.

As the Vice President of Preconstruction, Eldon is responsible for directing all preconstruction and estimating activities for the Seattle office. He brings nearly 20 years of experience providing guidance and creative solutions to clients, partners, and project teams during project planning and in solving complex preconstruction challenges.
