Dan Novack is a Balfour Beatty lifer who started his career with the company more than 20 years ago. As president of Buildings operations in the Mid-Atlantic, he provides strategic oversight for construction operations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and works with teams to sustain market growth in the healthcare, federal and education sectors.

Dan is known for his well-rounded leadership experience that includes purchasing, preconstruction, small business development, community and client relations, and operations expertise. He is also a passionate advocate of Balfour Beatty’s people-first culture embedment which embraces the essence of our teams’ Relentless Ally commitment to delivering project excellence and enhancing communities.

Novack is a graduate of Alfred State College in New York where he earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management and furthered his learning with an Master's of Business Administration from George Mason University in 2010. He is actively involved in many industry organizations and recently served on the Board of Directors for ABC Metro Washington for five years.

Sean has over 20 years of construction industry experience with Balfour Beatty where he has contributed to some of the Mid-Atlantic team’s premier projects. He rose through the ranks on projects including 220 Twentieth Street, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, The Bartlett, and The Foundry to his current role as vice president of operations, overseeing the success of multiple large Mid-Atlantic projects, including the 982,000-square-foot mixed-use Carlyle Crossing. Sean has demonstrated an innate ability to lead, solve problems quickly and build solid relationships with clients. He was the recipient of Balfour Beatty’s 2016 Mid-Atlantic Relentless Ally Award in recognition of his dedication to client service and operational excellence.

Art brings more than 24 years of construction experience to his role as vice president of operations and is currently overseeing the success of the District Wharf Phase 2 garage and office buildings. His career has focused on operational excellence in a variety of vertical markets including corporate office, education, residential, and mixed-use. Art is a team player; his collaborative mindset was recognized with an NGA Campus East “Star Partner Award” for his extraordinary efforts in support of the project’s “One Team” partnership mission and goals.

Eric Clark began his construction career with Balfour Beatty in 1998 as a project engineer after graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Building Construction. Over the years, he has risen through the ranks and experienced many parts of the business. In Eric’s role as vice president of operations, he will be leveraging his familiarity with the Richmond/Tidewater market (where he has lived and worked for over two decades) to expand Balfour Beatty’s presence in the area while maintaining our local trade partner relationships.

Eric embodies a people-first leader who takes pride in developing and steering collaborative, high-performing teams to meet client goals and has a reputation for being knowledgeable, fair, and a highly capable relentless ally for the division and clients alike.

Juliane is a Senior Business Development Manager and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. She leads strategic growth initiatives, client engagement, and pursuit strategy in the Richmond and Tidewater areas to drive impactful wins and long-term value. Recognized for her drive and professionalism, Juliane cultivates lasting partnerships that position her teams for sustained success.

Jeremy brings 26 years of industry expertise with a strong track record of delivering outstanding results and consistently exceeding performance goals. A graduate of the University of Florida with an MBA from the University of Richmond, he has built his career primarily in Central VA and Tidewater regions, developing deep market knowledge and strong local relationships.

Jeremy’s preconstruction strengths span a wide range of project types and he offers extensive leadership in cost management, project planning, risk management, client relations, constructability, and procurement. His ability to lead projects from concept through the start of construction—while collaborating effectively with stakeholders at every level, from executive leadership to field teams—makes him a high-value strategic ally throughout the preconstruction process.

As Project Executive, Blake is a trusted advisor to his clients from early project conception through final delivery.  In his current role, he helps guide the central Virginia Balfour Beatty operations teams to consistently deliver projects successfully to our clients.  Blake has spent 10 of his 13 years in the construction industry with Balfour Beatty. A Virginia Tech alumni, he holds a B.S. in Building Construction. Blake has significant multifamily project experience, delivering more than 2,000 apartment units to his clients. He prides himself on total team collaboration to ensure projects are built efficiently – completed on-time, within budget and exceeding client expectations for quality and service.  A strong believer that people make the greatest impact, Blake finds his purpose and love for construction through the relationships built amongst his teams and fostered by partnering with his clients to provide the best experience possible.
