Fort Worth Landmark, Reimagined

Originally the tallest building west of the Mississippi, the 1921 Farmers and Mechanics National Bank has been thoughtfully transformed into the Harper Hotel—a Kimpton-flagged, four-star destination in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. Balfour Beatty was proud to serve as general contractor on this transformative project, honoring the building’s legacy while delivering modern luxury. The adaptive reuse preserved the historic façade and introduced 226 guest rooms, a signature Italian restaurant, and a future sky bar overlooking Sundance Square. A timeless blend of heritage and hospitality.
