Balfour Beatty Appoints Sarah Brand as Vice President of Tampa Buildings Operations

TAMPA, Fla. – Balfour Beatty announces the appointment of Sarah Brand as vice president of operations for its Buildings operations in Tampa, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in high-growth markets across Florida and the Southeast.

In her new role, Sarah will lead operational performance and strategic growth for the Tampa business, focusing on expanding the company’s presence across key sectors including multifamily residential, hospitality, higher education, aviation and commercial development. Her leadership will support Balfour Beatty’s broader Buildings strategy to strengthen its footprint in priority markets while delivering complex, high-quality projects for clients across the region.

A Southwest Florida native, Brand brings deep regional insight and an understanding of the local market dynamics shaping Tampa’s continued growth. She will focus on building and leading high-performing teams while advancing a strong pipeline of work and strengthening partnerships with both new and existing clients.

Balfour Beatty’s Tampa portfolio includes a range of projects that reflect the region’s growth across key sectors, including multifamily developments with partners such as Related Group and PTM Partners, as well as ongoing work supporting the area’s expanding residential and hospitality landscape. Most recently, the team has advanced projects like Manor Riverwalk, Edge Collective II, Hotel Cala and other developments that contribute to the continued evolution of Tampa’s urban core.

Since joining Balfour Beatty in 2008, Sarah has successfully led planning, design integration and project delivery efforts across a wide range of complex developments, partnering with both public and private clients. She has played a key role in advancing strategic pursuits and supporting major programs across the company, contributing to sustained growth and project execution excellence.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Duke University with an emphasis in structures and a certificate in architectural engineering. She is a Professional Engineer, a Designated Design-Build Professional and a LEED® Accredited Professional.
