    February 26, 2016 The CBS affiliate in San Diego featured the grand opening and completion of Balfour Beatty Construction's $32 million Pacific Trails Middle School for the San Dieguito Union High School District. The 74,200-square-foot middle school project includes the construction of six buildings, landscaping and site improvements. The buildings include a two-story, 22-room classroom building, administration building, gymnasium, food service building, library/media arts building, and a multi-purpose art and music building.

  8. Multi-Housing News: Construction Starts on Austin’s Next Skyline Topper

    January 26, 2016 Developers broke ground recently on the soon-to-be tallest building in Austin’s skyline, The Independent, at a site near Third Street and West Avenue. Schedule for completion in 2018, the 58-story residential tower will reach 685 feet in height. The value of the building is estimated at more than $300 million. Balfour Beatty Construction secured the general contractor assignment.

The building was designed by Dallas architect HKS. Balfour Beatty Construction is the general contractor.
