Project Highlight: Fight Night for Cancer Research


Balfour Beatty Construction’s Fight Night, an event initially created to support two of Balfour Beatty’s own employees who were battling cancer, has become an event that employees and business partners mark on their calendars every year. During the event, teams of costumed arm wrestlers perform hilarious skits and compete in the ultimate "Battle of the Biceps."

With donated prizes from subcontractors and suppliers, proceeds from Fight Night’s betting and raffle ticket sales go to support charities and organizations that are researching cancer treatments or supporting families who have been affected by cancer. In 2009, we raised more than $40,000 for Parkland Hospital.
