The Florida division was founded in Miami in 1933 by Frank J. Rooney--a name that is part of a legacy for many of our employees and industry friends. Since 1933 the company has experienced a healthy growth in business, employee base and industry relationships.
Today the Florida division is headquartered in Plantation, just outside of Fort Lauderdale. Based in the Plantation office, Raymond C. Southern is Florida's Chief Executive Officer and President. He has been with Balfour Beatty Construction since 1973, his entire career.
We have a solid foundation of employees with industry leading talent who have contributed to our organization for an average tenure of 10 years. Our people by far are our most valuable asset.
