This project included preconstruction and construction services for repeat client Vornado/Charles E. Smith's multifamily housing project in Arlington, VA. The new building - known as The Bartlett - combines phases four and five of the Metropolitan Park development into a single, 23-story, concrete-framed building consisting of 699 residential units; 41,679-square-feet of retail space including a Whole Foods supermarket, a Commonwealth Joe's coffee shop and a dance studio; and 855 parking spaces in a four-level below-grade garage. More than 45,000-square-feet of amenity spaces provide residents with a rooftop pool and grills, spa-quality fitness facility, courtyard with fireplace, an entertainment room and more. This development is a key step in blurring the arbitrary boundary between Pentagon City and Crystal City neighborhoods.
The project was designed and constructed to LEED Silver standards.
