Bob Barlish promoted to Project Executive serving Special Projects Group
March 06, 2014
SEATTLE
- Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, announces the promotion of Bob Barlish to project executive. Barlish formerly served as senior project manager for the company. In his new role, he will oversee a variety of project types in the company’s Special Projects Group.
With over 40 years of industry experience, Barlish has managed millions of square feet of high-end commercial office space in the Puget Sound area. Since joining the company in 2012, Bob’s projects have included IBEW Local 77, McKinley Irvin, and several Wells Fargo branch bank tenant improvements.
“Barlish is a proven construction industry leader who has built lasting relationships from years of hands-on experience,” said Dan Peyovich, president of the Washington State division of Howard S. Wright. “His construction knowledge, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and project management expertise will continue to serve our clients well.”
Barlish spent the early part of his career as a journeyman cabinet maker where he learned cabinetmaking in an Old World German Woodworking Shop in Seattle. He moved up the ranks as a carpenter superintendent where he supervised a crew of up to 60 carpenters performing tenant improvements. Most recently, he served as a senior project manager where he managed a group of project managers and project engineers, oversaw hundreds of high-end tenant improvement projects, and implemented strategies to win millions of dollars worth of work.
Barlish is an active member of the Building and Office Managers Association (BOMA) and NAIOP.
Originally from Seattle, Barlish and his family currently reside in Magnolia
