Balfour Beatty Construction selected for iconic renovation project

RALEIGH, North Carolina - Balfour Beatty Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the renovation of Red Hat, Inc.’s (“Red Hat”) new global corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, has its headquarters currently on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus and will relocate to the 19-story office tower at 100 E. Davie St. in downtown Raleigh. The completed project will be christened “Red Hat Tower.”
The project will consist of the phased renovation of 300,000-365,000 square feet of class A interior office space and is designed to achieve LEED
®
Gold for Commercial Interiors certification. Balfour Beatty Construction will perform selective demolition, new interior improvements, façade, and ground level exterior renovations.

The design team is led by Washington, D.C. based architecture firm, Interior Architects, and program management support is provided by CB Richard Ellis.
