    Balfour Beatty Construction Hires Deren Wilcox as Vice President of Business Acquisition

    DALLAS – Balfour Beatty Construction is pleased to announce that Deren Wilcox has joined the company as vice president of business acquisition for the North Texas market. Wilcox joins Balfour Beatty as the company completed 2014 with significant new projects in the commercial construction, healthcare and education sectors.
    In this role, Wilcox is responsible for the development and effective execution of North Texas business acquisition strategies. His primary focus is serving as a relentless ally for every client and developing solutions specifically targeted to meet their unique business goals. 

    “I’m excited to join the Balfour Beatty team at a time of such great momentum across the company and in North Texas,” said Wilcox.   “As a native Texan, it’s been amazing to observe the dramatic changes in the real estate landscape here over the last three-plus decades. Now, I look forward to working with my colleagues, our clients, and our design and trade partners to extend our momentum and growth in North Texas.”   

    Passionate about giving back to the community, Wilcox currently serves as the 2015 Rise Run Chairman for the Rise School of Dallas, a non-profit organization providing the highest quality of early childhood education services to children with Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. He serves as a member of the St. Phillips School Board of Trustees as a TREC representative and is a member of The Real Estate Council. Wilcox also sits on the Doak Walker Award selection committee and is a Downtown Dallas, Inc. board member.

    Deren has holds a Masters of Organizational Leadership and Ethics MSOLE from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and a Bachelor of Science from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
