Balfour Beatty Construction confirms commitment to Texas market with key promotions

DALLAS
– Balfour Beatty Construction is pleased to announce the recent promotions of several members of its Houston Division. The division has seen a 60 percent increase in volume in the past year, with major project wins in the commercial construction and education markets. Over the past three years, Balfour Beatty has made a significant investment to increase service to its Houston clients, and these promotions are a result of continued plans for strategic growth.
“2013 was a good year, and these promotions recognize the monumental efforts of the many, talented individuals who dedicate their time and effort to providing excellent service to our clients,” said Steve Mechler, president of the Houston division.
These strategic promotions include:
Juan Rodriquez
has been promoted to regional vice president of operations for Balfour Beatty Construction. In his new role, he will develop and direct innovation, improvement, sustainability, and Zero Harm for the company’s Central Region. Juan has more than 20 years of major project experience in general contracting and construction management services.
As the new vice president of business acquisition,
Dawn Landry
will help the division take a strategic step forward by overseeing commercial, institutional, healthcare, aviation, and municipal sectors. Landry has more than 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, public relations, and economic development.
With 20 years of experience,
Jon Moreau
is now operations director for Balfour Beatty Construction’s Education Group serving the Houston division. With the recent completion of two Katy ISD projects and the start of Houston ISD’s $27 million Worthing High School, Moreau will continue to expand education services in the City of Houston.
