    Balfour Beatty Construction awarded The Wharf Parcel 11B - 625 Water Street at Waterfront Park

    Fairfax, Va. – Balfour Beatty’s Washington division has been selected to provide construction management at risk services for The Wharf Parcel 11B – 625 Water Street at Waterfront Park project. The approximately $30 million project marks the company’s first with owner PN Hoffman & Associates, Inc. 

    Designed by SK&I Architectural Design Group, the residential building is 108-units totaling approximately 105,000 square feet. Amenities will include an entrance lobby, landscaped courtyard, club room, private rooftop and courtyard. The five-story condominium building is set over top of a one-story garage substructure with a façade of brick, metal panels and glass.

    Across from Arena Stage, 625 Water Street is part of the new $1.5 billion Southwest Waterfront mixed-use development in D.C. from Hoffman Madison Waterfront LLC. The new Waterfront will include 560 residential units; 600 hotel rooms; 840,000 square feet of office space; 335,000 square feet of retail space; 2,500 parking spaces; 400-500 marina slips; and cultural spaces including a music hall, museum and maritime education.  

    Construction for the Wharf Parcel 11B is scheduled to begin in August 2014 with completion expected in January 2016. The project further develops Balfour Beatty’s multifamily portfolio in Washington, D.C. The company has delivered more than $800 million worth of multifamily projects in the Washington metropolitan area over the past 10 years.
