12th annual clay shoot scores big for Texas Health Resources Foundation
August 13, 2014
Fort Worth, TX
– Balfour Beatty Construction’s Fort Worth office recently presented Texas Health Resources Foundation with a $60,000 donation with proceeds from the 12th Annual Balfour Beatty Sporting Clay Shoot Classic. The clay shoot, held at the Alpine Shooting Range, was the largest event to date with 40 teams and 200 shooters.
“Balfour Beatty is more than a general contractor to the foundation,” said Texas Health Resources Foundation President, Jay McAuley. “When you look up the word partner in the dictionary, it says: one of two businesses that work together. That is what Balfour Beatty is to us, a trusted partner.”
Balfour Beatty Construction and Texas Health Resources have enjoyed a successful relationship, constructing more than 60 healthcare projects over the past 15 years. Many of these projects have benefited from foundation funds.
The foundation supports needs across the Texas Health Resources hospital system and strives to enhance the quality of patient care to sustain the long-term fiscal viability of Texas Health. Funds raised are used to enhance state-of-the art healthcare facilities with specialized patient care units. Projects benefiting from foundation funds include the renovations to Jones Tower, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Celia Winn Spaans Family Support Room. Balfour Beatty provided construction services for these projects and is currently building the NICU single-family patient room expansion and the NICU Butterfly Room.
