Join Balfour Beatty US Lean Leaders at LCI Congress 2017

Lean design and construction leaders from Balfour Beatty US are set to join industry peers, building owners and trade partners at the annual Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Congress 2017 in Anaheim, Calif., Oct. 16 – 20. With a mission centered on transforming design and construction through new approaches to project design and delivery, LCI is a non-profit organization that operates as a catalyst to transform the industry.

Balfour Beatty’s commitment to innovation, eliminating waste and continuous learning drives the company’s Lean journey and desire to more effectively deliver value for clients and partners.

Key to this journey is Balfour Beatty’s active participation each year at LCI Congress that facilitates collaboration with industry peers and owners, placing people into a community centered on learning and sharing at venues where they engage in training sessions with others on similar journeys.

Balfour Beatty’s Lean leaders who are presenting at LCI Congress hail from diverse sectors of our US business, including operations, legal, business acquisition and more. Together, they offer unique lessons learned and best practices that enable and enhance Lean implementation on projects. Mark Konchar, chief innovation officer for Balfour Beatty and LCI Chairman for 2017, will be delivering the annual address regarding the state of Lean.

Lean design and construction principles are transforming the industry, representing a significant advancement in maximizing efficiency and eliminating wasted resources. While the value of these principles are increasingly being recognized, the next challenge lies in educating and implementing Lean across the industry. LCI has created a platform designed to spark new ideas and energize teams to innovate in the real world, and Balfour Beatty looks forward to its continued participation in the process.
