At Balfour Beatty Construction, sustainability is not just a word. It is a vision, a journey, it's carefully plotted, with milestones and targets marked along the way.
Sustainability for Balfour Beatty Construction covers three broad areas:
Supplying resources and services to provide additional value tour clients’ assets and save owners money (Profitable Markets);
Ensuring the safety of workers and the public through our Zero Harm initiative, and contributing to the quality of life of our own people and in the communities in which we work (Healthy Communities);
Taking a leadership role in propelling and supporting sustainable building practices and incorporating environmental considerations into our planning and operational processes (Environmental Limits).
In each one of these areas, we have established concrete goals within our Sustainability Blueprint, which we monitor for progress in a systemic fashion. Our National and Regional Sustainability Action Plan implementation teams work with their respective divisions to embed our Sustainability Vision and Roadmap throughout the business.
