Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, celebrated the start of construction on the new Residence Hall and Learning Center at Cornish College of the Arts, located in Seattle, Washington. A ground breaking ceremony was held on March 18, 2014, for the new 120,000-square-foot project located at 2025 Terry Avenue (the corner of Lenora Street and Terry Avenue).

Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, will be moving to a new office in Lower Queen Anne this fall. The new home will be located in the Queen Anne Station building at 415 1st Ave North, and will foster an interactive work environment. Construction is expected to begin this summer with an early November, 2014 move-in.

This is the third year in a row that Balfour Beatty has been so recognized.

Seattle's EMP Administrative Office Building earns LEED® Platinum

Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, announced that the EMP Administrative Office Building for the EMP Museum in Seattle, Washington, received a LEED® Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Developed by Vulcan, Inc. and owned by Cedar Strands Properties the project is also the first
certified urban in-fill project to date and the first Salmon-Safe certified office building in Seattle.
Central Florida division office moving to new downtown Orlando location

The San Diego Community College District has selected Balfour Beatty Construction to design and build a new Cafeteria/Bookstore/Stockroom at San Diego Mesa College located 7250 Mesa College Drive in San Diego, Calif. The $36.4 million project includes the design and construction of a 65,000 square-foot building that will house a food service facility, bookstore, and stockroom that will serve the entire Mesa College Campus.

Balfour Beatty, an infrastructure group operating in construction services, professional services, support services and infrastructure investments, announced it has been selected to develop a new student housing project at Texas A&M University’s main campus in College Station, Texas. Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions, a developer and operator of infrastructure projects for the college and university market, is the lead developer on the privately financed project, which is expected to cost in excess of $200 million. Balfour Beatty Construction, based in Dallas, is the construction partner on the project.
