Growing Walter Reed
The joint venture of Balfour Beatty Construction and Clark Construction has been awarded design–build services for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The $625 million project includes new medical office, emergency room, and patient care construction; new utility and material handling tunnels, as well as circulation corridors; extensive renovations; and a patient parking garage. The center will be designed and constructed to meet LEED certification.
