Naval Support Activity, Northwest Annex, In Chesapeake

Balfour Beatty Construction LLC has been awarded a $61.6–million firm–fixed–price design–build contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for a joint regional correctional facility complex at Naval Support Activity, Northwest Annex, in Chesapeake. The new Level II, medium–security, 400–person detainment facility must meet American Corrections Association standards. The project is expected to be completed by May 2011.
