Tom is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company’s Florida division. He focuses on the general Orlando-area marketplace, as well as the two nationwide vertical markets of Criminal Justice and Hospitality, which are Orlando-based. He supports his business units through strategic plan development, account management, client relationship maintenance, and new work pursuit activities. Throughout his career, Tom has contributed to more than 300 proposals and facilitated over 200 presentations. Tom has participated in many of the firm’s core initiatives as a member of several Task Teams - from Vision, Mission, and Values to BBDoc’s to MAP to the GPS roll-out. He joined Balfour Beatty Construction in 1999. Tom earned his Bachelor of Building Construction from the University of Florida in 1985. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor. Upon graduation, Tom spent ten years in field operations before transitioning to the business development side of the industry.
