Steven joined Charter in 1993 to assist in the building of the 4,000-bed Alberti Prison in Beeville, Texas, having just completed a 500-bed county jail in Key West, Florida. He was named the Dallas AGC 2001 Superintendent of the Year and the National AGC 2004 Safety Superintendent of the Year. He has extensive experience in both traditional and construction manager at risk delivery methods for correctional, commercial, and K-12 facilities. He has proven to be an excellent mentor for our new employees and continues to lead by example. In 2009, Steve was promoted to Director of Operations. He is responsible to the President for management of construction activities and oversees site-based personnel to ensure on-time delivery, safety compliance, quality excellence, and financial success of projects across Texas. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering Technology degree from Florida International University.
