Steve joined the company in 2004 as Executive Vice President and Divisional Legal Officer. Prior to joining Balfour Beatty Construction, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at The Clark Construction Group in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Virginia School Of Law. He was in private practice with the law firm of Arent, Fox, Kintner, Plotkin and Kahn in Washington, D.C. from 1983-1998, where he served as Chairman of the firm’s 40-person Litigation Department and of the firm’s Employment Committee for several years. He also served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia School of Law for several years, teaching classes in Trial Advocacy and Civil Litigation.
