Division President, Florida Division
Sean DeMartino was named Division President of the Florida Division of Balfour Beatty Construction in October 2011. In that role, he focuses on continuing the Division's development in its core markets including education, hospitality, criminal justice, federal, transportation, and healthcare. In addition, he works with his leadership team to maintain momentum in creating value-based solutions for special projects, integrated project delivery, public-private partnerships, and other innovative client applications.
Sean joined the company in 1993. During his years with Balfour Beatty Construction he has held positions of increasing levels of responsibility, including: Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Vice President, and Business Unit Leader in the Florida Division. In his role as Business Unit Leader, Sean focused on the hospitality / time share, entertainment and gaming markets throughout the state of Florida and elsewhere in the United States. He has completed our work with Destination Properties in Hawaii, and has nurtured the company's relationships with clients such as Walt Disney Imagineering, St. Joe, Peabody Hotel Group, the Ginn Company and other hospitality clients.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction / Business from the University of Florida and is chairman and board member of Associated Builders and Contractors in Central Florida, President of the Central Florida BCN Alumni group for University of Florida, and active member of the Central Florida Lodging and Hospitality Association, NEWH, PECA, and NIGA.
