Vice President, Safety, Health,and Environment

Phil Newman joined Balfour Beatty Construction in 2010 as Vice President of Safety, Health, and Environmental. Newman has 34 years of experience in safety, health, and emergency management and has held leadership positions at Sandia National Laboratories, General Electric, Northrop Grumman, and Kaiser Steel. A certified industrial hygienist, Newman holds a B.S. in occupational safety and an M.S. in environmental health and safety from California State University, Northridge. He is also a past president of the California chapter of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
