Kent joined the company in 1988 as a senior estimator and has held the positions of project engineer, project manager, chief estimator and Vice President of Estimating. During that time he has gained extensive experience working with designers, managing the development of estimates, value engineering workshops, document reviews, life cycle analysis, schedule development and bid management programs. A licensed professional engineer, he is particularly strong in civil and structural design analysis. In his current role he oversees the preconstruction, strategic marketing and business development efforts of the Florida Division. Kent also sits as a member of Balfour Beatty Federal Business Group. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
