John began his career with the company in 1978 working in both estimating and operations. Today he is a Regional CEO for Balfour Beatty Construction, responsible for overseeing all public and private projects of the Washington, D.C. and National/Federal divisions. In addition to his role at a regional level, John is a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team. After five years with the company, John joined Clark Construction Group, where he advanced to Vice President and Director of Operations. With a proven track record in senior management, John returned to Balfour Beatty Construction in 1996 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2010, he was appointed to his current leadership role in the North region.
In 2001, he received the American Institute of Constructors' highest recognition -- the Walter A. Nashert, Sr. Constructor Award. John is a frequent speaker and panelist for numerous conferences and seminars on topics including partnering, design-build, company culture, and leadership development.
