As president of of Balfour Beatty Construction’s Georgia Division, Frank leads the business units in consistent sales growth and profitability across the markets of commercial, education, healthcare, and government sectors. A well-established and connected leader in the Atlanta business community with many client and partner relationships throughout Georgia, Frank’s distinguished background in the construction field has spanned more than 38 years.
During his career, Frank has managed the construction of many recognized developments in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast, including One Atlantic Center (formerly IBM Tower), Ritz Carlton-Atlanta, Lenox Square, and the Underground in downtown Atlanta. He has broad experience in the healthcare, education, financial, retail, and professional office markets.
Most recently, he was President of Frank Spears & Associates. From 2004-2010, Frank served as President of SG Contracting, Inc. Prior to joining SG Contracting, Frank was Managing Director and Executive Vice President of The Beck Group, a major commercial builder for offices, retail developments, and hospitality construction.Frank's notable career with The Beck Group spanned 30 years.
Frank holds BCE and MSCE degrees in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is past President and member of the Board of Trustees for the Associated General Contractors of America - Georgia Branch. He is also a former Board Member of the Georgia Tech Foundation and past Board Member and President of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. Frank has been an active volunteer fundraiser in the Metro-Atlanta area for numerous organizations, including the Shepherd Center and the Woodruff Arts Center.
