Eric began his career in construction in 1980 in the carpentry and plumbing trades, becoming a licensed contractor in the state of California in 1984. Eric graduated law school in 1989, successfully combining law and construction and is a member of the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, and California Bars. Today he is a Regional CEO for Balfour Beatty Construction, responsible for overseeing all public and private projects of the Southwest Region. In addition to his role at the regional level, Eric is a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team.
Eric joined Balfour Beatty Construction (formerly Barnhart Balfour Beatty) in 2001 after serving as Director of Finance and Operations of Los Alamos Development Company, a San Diego-based real estate development company. Eric has been recognized by industry organizations as an expert in alternative delivery methods and was voted a Top Influential in San Diego by the
San Diego Daily Transcript. Eric serves as National Chairman of the Contract Documents Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America and serves as a board member of the San Diego AGC, San Diego Lincoln Club, and City of San Diego Board of Building Appeals and Advisors.
