Regional CEO - Southeast Region
Al Petrangeli joined Balfour Beatty Construction in 1983 as Project Engineer for the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport project. Today, he resides in Atlanta and serves as Regional CEO for the company’s Southeast Region, which consists of the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, and Military Housing Divisions. In 2010, the region contributed $1.2 billion in revenue to Balfour Beatty Construction’s $2.8 billion in overall revenue. Before being named CEO in 2008, Al ran the company’s Florida Division.
In addition to his role at the regional level, Al is co-COO for Balfour Beatty Construction and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, serving to guide and direct the firm’s strategies, future growth, and direction.
Al holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology from Spring Garden College in Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the Boards of Arete Scholarship Fund and Lifework Leadership and is an Advisory member of Vision360. He is past Chairman of 4KIDS of South Florida, George Snow Scholarship Foundation, and the Boca Raton, Florida Chamber of Commerce, as well as an Executive Committee member of Enterprise Florida.
