Sohail Rana reached out to The Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in May 2009 and asked them to participate in the Annual Orlando Chili Cook-off. GAL representatives were on hand to speak with employees about the program and the volunteer opportunities in Central Florida.
To raise money for the organization, a raffle was held for two iPod Nanos donated by BBC. Chili Cook-off teams also held games and donated money from their tip jars. A total of over $400 was raised by employees, which was matched by the company.

GAL is a statewide agency that serves as a powerful voice for abused, abandoned and neglected children in the court system and community.
