For the 15th consecutive year, the Balfour Beatty's Dallas location participated in the Fort Worth ISD's Vital Link program.
Vital Link is a unique program designed to give students the opportunity to gain real world work experience and apply the skills learned at school to the workplace. As a supporter of the program, Balfour Beatty's Dallas office gave seven students from Fort Worth ISD the opportunity to experience a day in the field, and in a number of our departments, over the course of a week. Students learned about many of the job functions within our business, and completed a new project each day with skills required to be successful in the construction industry.
At the conclusion of the week, students met with CEO Robert Van Cleave and shared their experiences with him and other Balfour Beatty team members. Many of the students clearly made the connection between what they were learning in school and the tools that are necessary to be a success after graduation.
While many team members participated in the Vital Link program, it would not have been a success without the dedication of Janine Buckner. This was Janine's 15th year organizing our Vital Link efforts.
