Balfour Beatty’s Washington Division has been serving the Nation’s Capital and the Commonwealth of Virginia for over 75 years. Having a presence in the DC Metro area since 1933, the Washington division is an area leader in the public and private sectors having completed some of the most vital buildings and landmarks in the area. We are a local partner that builds lasting relationships with our employees and our clients while having the resources and sophistication of a premier national builder. Our unique project portfolio highlights large and complex projects that range from health care facilities, like Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the NIH Mark O. Hatfield Hospital and Research center to LEED Platinum office buildings like 700 Sixth Street in the heart of DC’s downtown, to the Pentagon Memorial, located in Arlington, Virginia.

With our expertise in industry technology and Public-Private Partnerships the Washington Division has expanded its footprint geographically into all areas of Virginia and industry-wide into all market sectors. Being a local leader in the DC Metro area also means caring for our community. The Washington division actively participates in the community through serving meals at DC food kitchens, cleaning up our own Adopted Highway, and partnering with local non-profit charities including Shelter House and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington DC.
