Balfour Beatty Construction has been building in the Fort Myers area since 1991. Our roots date back even earlier to 1933 when Frank J. Rooney started a small construction company in Miami. Opportunity led us to Fort Myers in the early 1990s. Over the past 20 years, Balfour Beatty Construction has made vital contributions to the Fort Myers area and is dedicated to helping enhance the city and the community. We have combined the expertise and trust that our clients expect of a local partner with the resources and sophistication of a premier national builder.

Alan Silver, Vice President of Operations for the Fort Myers office has been with Balfour Beatty Construction since 1986. We have a solid foundation of employees with industry leading talent who have contributed to our organization for an average tenure of 10 years. Our people by far are our most valuable asset. They have contributed to our success in industries such as infrastructure/transportation, education, government, criminal justice, sports complexes and retail.

In addition, since 1999, projects built by the Fort Myers office have won over 10 ABC Excellence in Construction awards. We have also received the Construction Management Association of America’s Regional Silver Award of Excellence and US GSA Citation Construction Excellence Award.
